BOGOR (19 April 2021) - "Galih Pakuan" Resident Center is a Technical Implementation Unit belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs which is developing the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA). This Center is currently starting to produce salted eggs as one of the superior products that will be marketed at the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA) Galih Pakuan Resident Center.

The initial production of 110 salted eggs was carried out through two ripening methods, namely by using scouring sand and water solution. The salted egg production team involved 10 beneficiaries.

The involvement of beneficiaries is aimed at developing their abilities in the process of making salted eggs and can be an inspiration for them to increase their entrepreneurial spirit after completing the rehabilitation period at the Center.

The salted egg production team coordinated by Yati Mulyati started the ripening process two weeks ago. Starting with the selection of quality duck eggs, then washed it.

The next stage is the ripening process which is carried out by using two methods. "We use two methods of ripening. In the first method, we use the ingredients of scouring sand dough to wrap the eggs. Meanwhile, the second method we use a solution of salt water in a large jar, so the selected eggs that have been washed are soaked in the water solution," said Yati.

Furthermore, Yati also explained the reasons for using these two methods. "Basically we want a quality product, so we took the initiative to try these two methods to see which one is considered to have more selling power both in terms of quality and durability," she said.

The last step in making salted eggs is steaming or boiling the eggs from ripening for two weeks. Steaming is carried out on eggs that go through a ripening process with scouring sand. While boiling is carried out on eggs which go through a ripening process with a water solution.

One of the beneficiaries who was involved in the process of producing these salted eggs is the Fa. "I am very happy to be able to participate in this production process. The process is simple, I can make sales ideas too," said Fa.

Of course, the process of producing salted eggs still needs to be supported by an attractive branding and packaging strategy. This is the next challenge for the production team to be able to target the market through quality products.

The salted egg production business will also enliven the SKA at the "Galih Pakuan" Resident Center in Bogor. This product is expected to be an alternative entrepreneurial development for beneficiaries who have completed the primary phase as well as former beneficiaries who have completed the rehabilitation period at the Center.
