MOJOKERTO (February 5, 2021) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini inaugurated the Millenial Koffie Cafe and Shoe Making Workshop which will be used as a place of business for 5 children of former residents (former drug addicts) in Banjaragung Village, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. This coffee shop and shoe-making business is the former resident's dream.

A total of 5 former residents consisting of street children and several adults who are active on the streets have the initials MYA (23 years), MF (16 years), PAN (26 years), IM (20 years) and VSP (18 years). On January 2, 2021, these 5 former residents were met during outreach in the Mojokerto Regency and City areas by the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Drug Abuse Victims and the Eklesia
Mandatory Reporting Recipient Institution (IPWL).

"We are grateful to the volunteers who have saved our children as the successors of the nation from adversity whom we (Ministry of Social Affairs) met," said the Minister of Social Affairs in his remarks at the inauguration of the Millenial Koffie Store.

The Minister of Social Affairs also expressed her gratitude to the employees of the Satria Baturraden Resident Center. "Thank you for sincerely guiding these children so that in less than a month they have recovered from drug dependence," he said.

The Minister of Social Affairs provided ATENSI assistance in the form of coffee shops as well as generators to MYA and MF, venture capital for the manufacture of sneakers and leather shoes with a total of IDR 32.5 million to IM, PAN and VSP.

The Minister of Social Affairs also provided educational support to MF who had previously dropped out of school due to poor economic conditions. He received assistance from the ATENSI Program in the form of a smartphone to be able to participate in online learning during the pandemic. The Minister of Social Affairs supports MF to continue his education while helping MYA with his coffee shop business.

Previously, based on the results of the assessment, they used to take to the streets to sing and were even indicated as victims of drug abuse. They had consumed alcohol, heximer, antimo, glue and double L.

They become beneficiaries of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program at the Satria Baturaden Residential Center belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs for 28 days, starting from January 6 to February 3, 2021.

This service is provided so that they recover from drug dependence and are able to overcome other personal problems, improve the ability to have adaptive behavior so that they are able to carry out roles according to their social status and provide skills so that the beneficiaries are economically independent.

The social rehabilitation services provided to these 5 beneficiaries are in the form of physical therapy, namely detoxification, routine health checks, exercise and personal hygiene. Then spiritual mental therapy which consists of mental strengthening and increasing worship.

There is also psychosocial therapy consisting of individual therapy (counseling) and group therapy (group counseling, morning meeting/briefing, Peer Accountability Group Evaluation (PAGE), daily evaluation, weekly evaluation and targets, discussion, resident meeting, sharing circle).

Furthermore, vocational therapy related to skills and independence is provided in the form of barista training, digital marketing training, visits and training in shoe making and screen printing training. This vocational therapy will provide them with economic independence.

A total of 2 beneficiaries, namely MYA and MF (brothers and sisters) deepened their coffee making skills as well as a coffee shop business which was inaugurated today by the Minister of Social Affairs. Then 3 other beneficiaries, PAN, IM and VSP studied shoe making.

Currently PAN and VSP make leather shoes with the JR King brand at their own homes. They continue the efforts of their father and want to prove to their mother who is now suffering from diabetes that they can be the pride of the family. "I want to change for the better, my mother is sick because she thinks of me who is always on the road and never comes home," he said in a trembling voice.

At home, IM makes sneakers with the brand DRAGOBY. "I want my business to move forward. I will invite friends who are usually on the streets to do business, help me, we will work together. Because I know how difficult it is to live on the road," hopes IM.

When Risma visited the homes of PAN, VSP and IM, Risma asked them to thank and apologize to their respective mothers by prostrating themselves and kissing their mother's feet. The atmosphere of emotion enveloped, even his mother could not hold back the emotion to tears.

Risma wrote a message for PAN and VSP which have the JR King brand. "All that is possible, for God nothing is impossible. Success and success are waiting for you. Prayers for the blessing of parents, hard work and never give up," wrote Risma.

Risma also wrote a message for IM which has the DRAGOBY brand. "All of this is only a gift from God, we must take care of this deposit so that it can be useful for ourselves, our families and others. Good luck, my son, success and success await you," he said on a framed piece of paper.

The Minister of Social Affairs expressed his gratitude to the Regent, Camat, Lurah and Village Heads in Mojokerto Regency who have given space for children to return to society, to build Mojokerto Regency.

"I believe that no child is wrong, we must continue to be optimistic that our children can be saved. It takes hard work and great sincerity to invite them to avoid juvenile delinquency," said Risma.

The Regent of Mojokerto, Pungkasyadi also conveyed a message to the beneficiaries. "This needs to be imitated, the spirit must be increased. Business have its ups and downs. However, if the food in the cafe is good, then the shoes are comfortable to wear, there will be a lot of people ordering," he motivated.

At the end of the event, Risma encouraged the beneficiaries. "Congratulations on your work, rest assured that success will be with you. Don't surrender, no fatigue and don't despair, because the future you have started is waiting for you," Risma said to the beneficiaries.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat and his staff, the Head of the Mojokerto Police, Dony Alexander, the Regent of Mojokerto, Pungkasyadi, Dandim 0815, Lt. Col.
