BEKASI (1 September 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Pangudi Luhur" Center in collaboration with Pertamina Lubricants in the Automotive Basic Training and Branding Program for Luhur Motor Workshop, Planting and Seedling for Wine Gardens by Cortezian Indonesia (CI) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Waste Management by the Community-based Kumala Foundation as an Independent Business Incubation.
This activity was launched directly in the Production Installation area of the "Pangudi Luhur" Center witnessed virtually by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Senior Officer CST PT. Pertamina Lubricants and Leaders of Social Welfare Institutions (LKS).
The Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Harry Hikmat, welcomed this collaboration as a form of collaboration between parties in implementing community empowerment and LKS to always provide reinforcement and assistance to beneficiaries.
"Through this activity, it is hoped that the beneficiaries can have more fighting power to compete with the workshops that have been established. Even if it is possible they will open a home workshop if the skills they have are qualified," said Harry.
This is in line with the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program, which is a social rehabilitation service that uses a dynamic, integrative, and complementary approach to family, community, and/or residential based approaches.
He continued, Harry said that through activities to support the fulfillment of a decent life, social care/childcare, family support, therapy (physical, psychosocial, and mental-spiritual), skills and entrepreneurship training, social assistance and assistance and accessibility support.
"There are four knowledges that can be gained in this training, namely learning electricity so that the beneficiaries are able to do trouble shooting, suspension and chassis, namely studying a collection of components including wheels, steering systems, braking, and learning machines and character building," said Harry.
Social workers must work together with technicians in this case to further improve the implementation of character building, service excellence and a strong mentality.
"In addition, the instructors provide automotive techniques that are in accordance with current needs, such as repairing automatic motorcycle engines, so that later beneficiaries can be accepted at official workshops," said Harry.
"With the presence of Pertamina Lubricants, we hope that the beneficiaries will be more advanced and independent after completing vocational/skills training," Harry concluded.
The activity was also carried out virtually, attended by 58 participants, including representatives from Pertamina Lubricants, Kumala Foundation, Balarenik Foundation, ERBE Foundation and representatives from "Pangudi Luhur" Center Bekasi.
