MASAMBA (September 18th 2020) - Located in the Center of the Bukit Indah Masamba Hotel, an activity was held to distribute basic necessities for children affected by COVID-19 pandemic and also children affected by flash floods in North Luwu Regency.

This Aid Distribution activity was attended by the Regent of North Luwu along with the Regional Secretary, Head of the Social Service, Head of the Education Office, Social Worker Service Unit and also the Head of the Rural Poverty Section of the South Sulawesi Provincial Social Service.

North Luwu Regent Indah Putri Indriani thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Social Rehabilitation Center for Children Needing Special Protection (BRSAMPK) "Toddopuli" Makassar which has distributed its assistance to children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and also children affected by flash floods. which happened some time ago in North Luwu Regency. It is hoped with this assistance the fulfillment of children's nutrition can be fulfilled properly.

The Head of the Social Assessment and Advocacy Section representing the Head of BRSAMPK "Toddopuli" Makassar, Sutimbul, said this activity was assistance from the Directorate of Child Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the distribution of which was carried out by the Makassar Children's Center "Toddopuli". ATENSI Children's Social Rehabilitation carried out by Balai for children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and also children affected by the Flash Flood that occurred some time ago in North Luwu Regency.

This is the second activity carried out by the Center after previously carrying out psychosocial support services for children affected by the flood.

This activity was carried out thanks to the support of the local government through the Social Service of North Luwu Regency, Sakti Peksos of East Luwu Regency, Tanah Toraja and Palopo City.

A total of 237 children received basic food assistance in the form of child nutrition fulfillment which were symbolically handed over by the Regent of North Luwu.
