BIMA (April 4, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Mataram Paramita Children's Center, provides Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) to children affected by flash floods in Bima Regency. Upon arrival in Bima, the Paramita Children's Hall Team coordinated with the Bima District Social Service and was greeted by the Head of the Social Security Division, Ismud.

LDP activities will be carried out in Bolo District, one of the severely affected sub-districts in Bima Regency and is in urgent need of social assistance in the form of ready-to-eat food. The Paramita Children's Hall team brought several relief items including 10 ready-to-eat lunch boxes, each containing 12 packs, 10 boxes of children's food, each containing 6 packages, 25 mattresses and 15-bed mattresses.

The team conducted LDP activities with 120 children around the disaster relief post in the village of Sanolo, Bolo District. The Paramita Children's Hall LDP team, which consists of 4 people, is accompanied by a Social Worker who is a Child Companion in Bima Regency, Abd. Rahmat Hidayat quickly conducted an LDP to unravel the anxiety in children that began to arise due to the flood disaster 2 days ago. This area is severely affected by flooding. At least 3 districts are affected here, namely Monta, Woha, and Bolo," said Hidayat.

Psychosocial support services provided by the quick response team are part of the Children's Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI Anak). The form of LDP given by the Team was in the form of Ice Breaking and formed a Recreational Group. "The children were quite enthusiastic about participating in this LDP, their enthusiasm was shown from the joy of participating in the games that were given. Not only that, they seem to have forgotten the tragedy that happened to them yesterday," said Edy Karyadi, one of the Ice Breaker officers.

On that occasion, the LDP Team also provided relief items in the form of children's food so that they became more cheerful after participating in the activity. One package of groceries contains 3 pcs Marie milk biscuits, 3 pcs Malkist biscuits, 2 pcs coconut flavored biscuits. "Thank you brothers and sisters from Paramita, Ministry of Social Affairs who care for us and invite us to play and laugh, we are happy," said Putri, a child victim of the flood disaster.

I Ketut Supena, as the Head of the Center said, "It is important to carry out LDP activities so that the children grow cheerful and can quickly forget what happened to them before. And not become a prolonged trauma."

Den Ardani, the Social Counselor of the Paramita Children's Center expressed his opinion that the relief items to be given to victims should be given to the disaster relief posts, so that the post team could distribute the relief items evenly to the target by the results of the assessment of community needs.
