In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini that the Ministry of Social Affairs also empathizes with and provides support and moral reinforcement for the families of the ABK Nanggala 402. The centers which are the Technical Implementation Units belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs are ordered to be able to provide psychosocial reinforcement and assistance for the families of the ABK Nanggala 402.

"The purpose of implementing this psychosocial support is to strengthen the psychological mentality of the victim's family so that they can go through this ordeal strongly and show the government's concern and emphasize that they are not alone in facing this ordeal," said Sumarno, Social Worker at the Antasena Children Center representing the Head of Center when coordinating with the Sidoarjo Regency Social Office.

The LDP team from Antasena Children Center visited the family of the late Chief Sergeant (Bah) Ruswanto, who was located in Candi Jaya Hamlet, Rt. 18 Rw.05 Sidoarjo Temple Village. Accompanied by the Head of Candi Jaya Hamlet and Social Work Serve Unit (Sakti Peksos) of Sidoarjo Regency, the team was received by the family of the deceased. The late Chief Sergeant (Bah) Ruswanto left behind a wife and two sons aged 6 years and 10 months. His late wife, Sri Nurcahyani, is a housewife.

The deceased's wife looked weak with swollen and teary eyes when the team met her. When the Social Worker provided assistance, the wife said that at this time she was confused about her condition and the condition of her two children, because during her life the deceased always fulfilled her and her children's wishes, was never angry, wise and always spent time with his family during holiday. Those acts made her miss his husband. The deceased's wife also expressed her concern regarding her 10-month-old son because he could not recognize his father and did not know what to do to support her family.

"The deceased's hopes that have not been achieved are used as motivation to be able to continue life," said Evie Nurcahyaningrum, Social Worker at the "Antasena" Children Center. "The mother still has 2 children to be accompanied until she is established, and at a young mother's age, she still has great potential to continue her life," she added.

Another Antasena Children Center Social Worker, Sumarno, chat with the deceased's first child, Zidane. When asked about his goals, Zidan wants to become an officer like his father. The deceased's mother-in-law, Umi Kalsum said that Zidan was very close to his father. “They are very close, often go together, play football together, and recite the Quran together, even Zidan often asks his father to make him iced tea. Zidan said the iced tea made by his father was the most delicious," Umi continued.

The deceased's father-in-law, Bawuni, said that his son-in-law was a very responsible husband. Even though he was quiet, the deceased was very cheerful when he was with his family. His wife and children were treated very well.

The wife of the deceased added that her late husband seemed to have premonitions about her departure. “The night before leaving, my late husband forced me to buy my favorite food, even though it was already 12 at night and I said tomorrow. But he insisted to buy. My husband said tomorrow I will leave you. When I'm gone, no one can buy you grilled catfish again," she added.

Apart from conducting the LDP, the Team also carried out a needs assessment and collect demographic data for the children of Nanggala 402 crew members for further assistance from the government. Children under the age of 18 will be provided with Social Rehabilitation Assistance in the form of baby equipment, toys, stationery, books, and supplemental food or drinks for children.
