TEGAL (12th June 2020) - The Basic Food Social Assistance (Bansos) distributed by The "Mulya Jaya" Center from the results of the refocusing budget in handling the risk of the impact of COVID-19 for former of Beneficiaries (PM) and displaced people affected by COVID-19.
After distributing basic food social assistance in Jabodetabek, Indramayu, Subang, Sukabumi, Cianjur, Bandung, Karawang, Majalengka, Brebes, Blitar, Kediri, Nganjuk and Madiun, now The "Mulya Jaya" Center once again distributed Basic Food Social Assistance to the former of PM in Tegal Regency.
The Head of the Social Rehabilitation Service Section of the "Mulya Jaya" Center, Edy Santoso when he was in the room of the Head of the Tegal Regency Social Service, Nurhayati explained that the Basic food social assistance that was distributed was given to the former of PM whose origin was in Tegal Regency.
"Our intention to distribute this social assistance is basically to lighten the burden on our former of PMs who previously had a period of social rehabilitation in the center. This is because we are currently both in difficult conditions due to COVID-19," explained Edy.
"The former of PMs who received the basic food social assistance really came from Tegal Regency, so it is in accordance with data by name by address that we have collected," he continued.
Nurhayati thanked to the "Mulya Jaya" Center for the attention that has been given to the residents.
"Thank you, Sir. Everything is really difficult right now. Especially for them, hopefully the assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the “Mulya Jaya” Center will be very useful for our children.” Said Nurhayati.
Furthermore, the team from the "Mulya Jaya" Center together with the Tegal Regency Social Service team went directly to the former of PM's houses to give Basic Food Social Assistance.
The distribution of Basic Food Social Assistance in Tegal Regency was given to ten former of PMs. Icha, one of the former PMs who currently works as a household assistant, was very surprised to be visited by the "Mulya Jaya" Center team and the Tegal Regency Social Service. Icha admits that her family's condition is currently uncertain in terms of income. She is very grateful for the Basic food social assistance that given to her.
"Oh God, thank you very much, Sir. Thanks for the team want to deliver this assistance all the way here. This assistance is very useful for me." said Icha.
The Tegal Regency Social Service and the "Mulya Jaya" Center have collaborated in the handling of Victims of Trafficking in Persons, both in terms of referral and mentoring, as well as monitoring to each PM. This collaboration was built since 2017 and is still well established today. Hopefully, after the distribution of basic food social assistance, it can help the former of PMs in Tegal Regency during the COVID-19 period.
