The Peak Event of the 2022 National Children's Day Celebration in East Lombok
SELONG (August 1, 2022) —
Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini asked Indonesian children to have
the courage to pursue and make their dreams come true no matter what.
This message was conveyed by Risma when greeting children from Sabang-Marauke online at the peak of National Children's Day Commemoration (HAN) 2022 at the East Lombok Regent's Office, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Monday (1/8).
"You have to study hard to be successful. Obey your parents. Indonesian children dare to be smart and cheerful. They can't be inferior, they can't be afraid," said Risma.
Risma also advised children not to bully and not to make fun of their friends.
In addition, Risma asked Indonesian children to stay away from drugs.
"Many children are less fortunate. We have to help each other. Some can't hear or see. You can't make fun of friends with disabilities. And don't come into contact with drugs because you are future leaders of the nation," Risma ordered.
Risma also reminded children not to marry at an early age.
In addition, Risma emphasized that boys and girls have the same rights in achieving their goals.
"Focus on studying, don't rush into marriage. You are prospective leaders, you must commit not to marry early. Nothing difference between boys and girls. Women can be leaders, can be ministers. Let’s commit, I'm waiting for your success," said Risma.
Risma said that her party ensures the distribution of assistance to children in the interior and outermost islands of Indonesia who are categorized as disadvantaged.
Moreover, said Risma, when greeting online, children in rural areas conveyed the problem of the absence of electricity, bicycles, boats, and road repairs.
"For the frontier, outermost, remote islands that fall under the category of villages left behind the authority of the Ministry of Social Affairs, we will handle it. For example, the Children's Tribe. The road is still difficult, and the trip to Meratus also has to be taken for hours. Then to Asmat Amagais, you have to take a plane small for one hour followed by land for 3 hours, then the Sea Tribe on Bertam Island is lagging and the outermost islands of Indonesia.
