The Role of Integrated Centers/Centers as the Spearhead of MoSA
BANDUNG (June 28, 2022) - Director General of
Social Rehabilitation, Pepen Nazaruddin representing the Minister of Social
Affairs, Tri Rismaharini accompanied the Chair of the Commission VIII of the House
(DPR RI) Team, My Esti Wijayati, and her entourage on a Special Working Visit of
Commission VIII DPR RI at Wyata Guna Center Bandung.
On this occasion, the
Special Working Visit of Commission VIII of the DPR RI in the context of
Supervision of the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Program and
Improvement of Social Rehabilitation Centers in West Java during the V trial
period of 2021 - 2022 handed over assistance to PPKS (Social Welfare Service Recipients)
The Chair of the
Commission VIII DPR RI and her entourage symbolically handed over
ATENSI to Beneficiaries at the Wyata Guna Center in Bandung, West Java
Province, worth a total of IDR 95,412,000,-. Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI)
is provided in the form of meeting the needs of decent living, accessibility
aids, and entrepreneurship assistance for PPKS with Disabilities at the Wyata
Guna Center in Bandung.
During this specific
visit, the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Pepen Nazaruddin, said
that the Centers were integrated from 41 Centers to 31 Centers whose functions
were changed to become multi-service centers, which previously only focused on
certain clusters so that the Centers could reach PPKS who need a variety of
services.
"God willing, the
Center will continue to grow in such a way as to serve all beneficiaries and Wyata
Guna Center is ready to perform any service function," said Director
General of Social Rehabilitation, Pepen Nazaruddin.
The Chair of the
Commission VIII DPR RI Team, My Esti Wijayati said that MoSA could quickly
change including the organizational structure so what was initially called Balai is now a Center.
"This is not just
talking about one of the tasks of MoSA, but now the role of Centers throughout
Indonesia is used to spearhead the success of MoSA," said Esti Wijayati.
A member of Commission
VIII of the DPR RI, I Komang Koheri, hopes that all components of society, the
government from villages, regencies/provinces, and the Centers can work together
to serve the unfortunate people.
This ATENSI is managed
by the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) belonging to MoSA, namely Wyata Guna
Center in Bandung. One of the Beneficiaries who received ATENSI in the form of
entrepreneurial support selling fruit juice drinks, Resty Nursyam (31) who is a
physically disabled person in the leg area, has been selling fruit juice for 4
months since her husband was laid off due to Covid-19. The income he gets is
only IDR 100,000 - IDR 150,000 / day.
"I was greatly helped by this assistance, so I have new tools that in the future can help develop my business", said Resty enthusiastically.
