BALI (8 September 2020) – "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center as one of the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation (Ditjen Rehsos) is intensively making efforts in the successful implementation of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program.
One of the efforts made to support the ATENSI program is to establish an extensive network. For this reason, at every opportunity the Gowa "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center focuses on introducing and informing the new era of ATENSI program implementation to the Social Service and the Elderly Social Welfare Institution (LKS-LU) as stakeholders in providing social rehabilitation services for the elderly.
As on this occasion, a Focus Group Discussion activity was held in the Province of Bali. This activity was carried out to discuss the synergy between the Social Service and LKS-LU with the Gowa "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center to carry out social rehabilitation in the new era.
In addition, this activity also aims to obtain input from the Provincial Social Service, Regency/City Social Service, LKS-LU, Facilitators, and other stakeholders regarding the potential and future challenges related to the preparation of ATENSI implementation for the elderly.
The activity, which was attended by 13 participants, was opened directly by the Head of the Gowa "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center, Syam Wuryani.
In her speech, Yani, as she is usually called, stated that there is a need for joint synergy to realize ATENSI and SERASI.
"The success of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance program and Social Service Centers is a shared responsibility, so there needs to be synergy in providing social rehabilitation services for the elderly," said Yani.
This was also supported by the Head of the Bali Provincial Social Service, I Dewa Gede Mahendra who said that the Bali Provincial Social Service was ready to fully support the implementation of the ATENSI program.
"The Bali Provincial Social Service is ready to synergize with LKS-LU and the Gowa "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center in carrying out social rehabilitation services for the new era of the ATENSI program intelligently, with quality, and prioritizing accountability," said Mahendra.
In this FGD activity also present, the Head of Social Rehabilitation Division of Denpasar City Social Service, Head of Sub Division of Evaluation and Reporting Program Evaluation of Bali Provincial Social Service, Head of Section for Child and Elderly Social Rehabilitation of Bali Provincial Social Service and Professionals Worker for Elderly Social Welfare Institutions (LKS-LU) Maha Boga Marga.
