BENGKULU (January 22, 2021) - “Dharma Guna” Disability Center as a Technical Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs in accordance with its duties and functions as stated in the Minister of Social Affairs Regulation number 18 of 2018 has an obligation to organize social rehabilitation for people with mental disabilities through physical, mental spiritual, psychosocial and physical therapy. livelihood therapy/skills, with a coverage area of 9 provinces in Sumatra.
Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) Activities use a family, community and/or residential-based social rehabilitation approach through activities to support the fulfillment of decent living needs, social care and/or child care, family support, physical therapy, psychosocial therapy, mental spiritual therapy and vocational training and entrepreneurship development, as well as social assistance and accessibility support.
Responding to the needs and expectations of the community, the "Dharma Guna" Disability Center is aggressively acting with its programs to realize comprehensive social rehabilitation so that the social functioning of persons with disabilities can be achieved.
Furthermore, to strengthen the ATENSI program, the Bengkulu "Dharma Guna" Center collaborated with the Harapan Mulya Women's and Ex-Psychotic Social Institution (PSBAWEP) in Jambi Province, which was signed by the Head of the Center, Dardi and the Head of the Hayat Home, Yahya and witnessed directly by Arif Munandar. as Head of the Social, Population and Civil Registration Office of Jambi Province.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program will essentially collaborate with the Panti to organize the ATENSI program.
PSBAWEP Harapan Mulya Jambi is an orphanage owned by the Jambi Provincial Government which has a focus not only on rehabilitating people with mental disabilities, but also other targets, namely services for the elderly and neglected children. Certainly, this will be a strategic collaboration to expand the ATENSI program in Jambi Province.
Dardii emphasized that this agreement was made to jointly commit to providing services in all matters, as stated in the MoU and to be carried out as well as possible, especially in terms of data collection.
Arif Munandar, who witnessed the signing of the MoU, hoped that this collaboration would have a major and positive impact in the effort to provide comprehensive social welfare for persons with disabilities through the ATENSI program in Jambi Province.
"We will also send our human resources to carry out on the job training at "Dharma Guna" Center in Bengkulu," said Hayat Yahya.
