BEKASI (7 July 2021) - The implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali did not stop the performance and productivity of the employees at the Bekasi “Budhi Dharma” Center. This is evidenced by the online Dissemination of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI) phase II.

After previously on Tuesday (22/06/2021) Dissemination Phase I of the ATENSI Program was held in eight provinces, this time it was continued for eight other provinces, namely Aceh, Jambi, Bengkulu, Riau, Riau Islands, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Bangka Belitung.

The activity was attended by a total of 122 participants consisting of representatives of the Provincial Social Service, Elderly Social Welfare Institutions (LKS-LU) / Family Compensation Center (PUSAKA) and Facilitators for the Elderly.

The presentation was delivered by Dewi Kania as the Head of Sub-Division of Administration representing the Head of the Center and also Indrawan as the Section Head of Social Rehabilitation Services as well as the Center’s Commitment Making Officer (PPK).

In her presentation, Dewi said that the main basis for providing ATENSI assistance was through a comprehensive assessment carried out by the case manager. It is one of the representatives from LKS LU who is appointed to assist the elderly in solving their social problems.

“Comprehensive Assessments are activities carried out by officers to carry out understanding and deepening of problems, needs, potential, and sources, kinds of assistance that have been received, and services or assistance needed by the elderly as potential recipients of ATENSI LU.

The results of a comprehensive assessment will be the basis for planning ATENSI which will be given to the elderly, whether it is a community, family, and/or residential based,” said Dewi.

This statement was also supported by the second speaker, namely Indrawan who conveyed about the Procurement of Goods and Services in the ATENSI Program.

ATENSI LU assistance can be given more than once. In addition, the value of assistance can also be more or less than the average index value of IDR 2.4 million per elderly and all of this is based on the results of the assessment carried out.

"Furthermore, the results of the assessment become the basis for determining the recipient of assistance in the PPK Decree (SK) which is legalized by the Budget User Authority (KPA)," said Indrawan.

This meeting also discussed efforts to accelerate the distribution of ATENSI assistance, where the Center will cooperate with relevant stakeholders, as stated by Endang Wijayani as Coordinator of Assessment and Social Advocacy.

"The distribution of ATENSI assistance is channeled directly by cash transfer through the accounts of elderly beneficiaries, therefore the Center is preparing a concept of cooperation with Bank Mandiri for the creation of ATENSI accounts and cards," said Endang.

Finally, through this dissemination, it is hoped that ATENSI assistance can be immediately distributed to the elderly as a vulnerable group during this pandemic.
