Towards a Shackle-free Indonesia, the Ministry of Social Affairs Intensifies Stocks-free
SOUTH BENGKULU (September 15, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Dharma Guna" Mental Center in Bengkulu always strives so that Persons with Mental Disabilities (PDM) do not get wrong treatment and care while in the family.
Deprivation is a form of violation of Human Rights, therefore the "Dharma Guna" Mental Center Quick Response Team (TRC) carried out Case Response activities for 5 PDMs who experienced stocks in South Bengkulu Regency. The team moved based on information from the South Bengkulu Regency Social Service.
"We thank the “Dharma Guna” Center for being very responsive in responding to information and requests for case responses from us," said Didi Ruslan as Head of the South Bengkulu Regency Social Service.
The team consisting of 10 people together with the District Social Welfare Personnel (TKSK) evacuated stocked victims in 3 locations, namely Ulu Manna, Kedurang and Pino Raya Subdistricts to receive further treatment at the Soeprapto Mental Special Hospital. The team also collects information about the condition of PDM from the family and explains to the family what efforts will be made to PDM by the Quick Response Team.
TRC "Dharma Guna" Mental Center always pays attention to health protocols during evacuation, such as using masks, hand sanitizers, handscoons. Then, PDM and companions from the family carried out a rapid test before being taken to RSKJ.
