WEST LOMBOK (June 21, 2022) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Paramita Mataram Center provides treatment for a 12-year-old girl after undergoing surgery for suctioning fluid in the brain. This little girl from Central Lombok Regency underwent the second surgery in her life after being diagnosed with a brain tumor by the doctor.

Safa, the little girl's nickname, was first discovered when she complained of stomach pain. The doctor's initial examination stated that she had gastric acid so she had to be rushed to the Praya Hospital for further treatment. She did not stop there, she felt complaints after complaints ranging from blurred vision to fever and stiffness in the neck.

As a result of the pain experienced by Safa, the doctor suggested a CT Scan and the doctor stated that there was fluid in Safa's brain, and in that fluid, there was a tumor.

The initial surgery to suction the fluid in Safa's brain was carried out on May 27, 2022. While waiting for the next surgery, Safa was undergoing outpatient treatment. While undergoing the treatment, Safa lived and received routine care from the doctors and nurses of Sentra Paramita for 13 days on June 20, 2022, Safa had undergone a second surgery and currently, Safa's condition is still being observed in the ICU, because postsurgery Safa still fainted. Currently, on June 21, 2022, Safa's condition has begun to change, Safa's body has started to react (hands and legs are starting to move).

Ketut Supena the Head of the Center said, "The child (Safa) is being treated at Paramita to facilitate outpatient access to the Regional General Hospital of West Nusa Tenggara Province"

In addition to social care, the Paramita Center also provides support for meeting the needs of a decent living for Safa and entrepreneurship assistance for Safa's father as an effort to implement Social Rehabilitation Assistance in the form of egg-laying ducks, duck feed (mixture of rice and bran) and also an electric sprayer as a source of income from the work he has been doing. Safa's parents expressed their gratitude to MoSA for the assistance.
