Wamena Is Condusive, Wamena's People in Jayapura Return Home

Wamena residents who fled to a number of spots in Jayapura have started to return to Wamena. They decided to return to Wamena because the Jayawijaya regional government and local authorities guaranteed the security of the city of Wamena.

As seen on Wednesday (9/10) afternoon, the Hercules plane arrived at Wamena Air Force with 87 refugees. Their arrival was immediately welcomed by the Regent of Jayawijaya, Jhon Richard Banua, together with the Commander of Kodim 1702/Jayawijaya and the Police Chief of Jayawijaya.

By returning to the city of Wamena, it indicates that Wamena has gradually recovered.
