"Wyata Guna" Rehabilitation Center Reaches a Child with Multiple Disabilities
BANDUNG (17 May 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Bandung "Wyata Guna" Center has responded to a
case against "FA" (10 years) Persons with Visual Sensory Disabilities
who also experience physical limitations. The case response is based on a
report from the Sub-district Social Worker (TKSK), Antapani District, Bandung
City.
"FA" lives
every day with his parents. His father works as a driver and his mother is only
a housewife, and the economy of this family is in the underprivileged category.
"FA" has limitations since he was born, and so far he has not been
treated medically.
"FA" has total
blind disability and also has difficulty doing some activities and speaking
normally. The physical growth of "FA" is also classified as slow. In
carrying out daily activities "FA" is still assisted by their
parents, such as eating, drinking, bathing, and mobility.
"FA" has been
examined by a team of doctors appointed by the local government and received a
referral for routine physical therapy. It's just that FA’s parents are
constrained by costs, where currently the BPJS owned by the "FA"
family is not active because it has been in arrears for three years.
To resolve this problem,
the local government is working on so that the BPJS owned by the "FA"
family can be transferred from the independent BPJS to the free BPJS so in the
future "FA" will not experience problems anymore.
The local government, in
this case the Antapani District and the Bandung City Social Service, also
received assistance from the Rumah Cinta Inclusion Foundation to work on the
process of completing the BPJS.
