Year End, Social Minister Asks Himbara Bank and Local Government to Accelerate Disbursement of Social Assistance

TRENGGALEK (26 December 2021) - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini asked related parties to speed up the social assistance disbursement to beneficiaries. The Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) Program can be disbursed in cash.
During her working visit to Trenggalek Regency (25/12), the Minister emphasized that the ranks of the regional government and also state-owned banks (Himbara) to ensure the disbursement of social assistance, reminding that it is already the end of the year.
"I ask the disbursement to be accelerated. It's the end of the year. Next Monday I want everything to be completed that every beneficiary gets their assistance," said the Minister in front of Trenggalek Regent Mochamad Nur Arifin and the leaders of Bank Himbara.
That same day, the Minister and her entourage moved along the village streets. The Minister is looking for houses of Beneficiary Families (KPM) whose social assistance is not yet disbursed. Arriving at Melis Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek, the group stopped on the village road.
The Minister then asked bank officers to disburse social assistance of the residents in the area. "Please give the opportunity to the elderly first. Penjenengan gadah KTP ne Bu? Dipun beto KTP nipun? Dipendet sodoyo nggih (Kamu ada KTP kan Bu? Dibawa KTP nya? (Do you have an ID card, ma'am? Do you bring your ID card? Please bring your ID cards.) Let's disburse the assistance," she said.
The KPM in Melis Village are mostly from BPNT Program. That day about 5 KPM from the village disbursed the assistance. "Njih remen. Maturnuwun Bu Risma (Yes, I'm happy (with the assistance that has been disbursed-edt). Thank you Mrs. Risma)," said Sainem's grandmother (82), briefly.
The Minister advised that the assistance should be used accordingly. It is not allowed to buy cigarettes or inappropriate necessities.
Meanwhile, the KPM that have not received social assistance probably come from the expansion of the PKH program or BPNT Program which lacks complete data information.
For this reason, the Minister asked PKH and BPNT companions to investigate so that they can receive social assistance before 31 December.
The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Inspectorate General carries out Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities for the Acceleration of KKS Disbursement for the Family Hope Program (PKH) and BPNT Program so that the distribution does not exceed 31 December.
The distribution of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs is supervised by Law Enforcement Officials in 514 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia, involving the Indonesian Attorney General's Office and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters to ensure that it is timely, accurate and on target.
