SUBANG (11 September 2021) – The Directorate General
of Poverty Handling carried out an assessment of the potential and sources of
social welfare (PSKS) in Subang Regency. The activity was carried out with the
Subang Regency Social Service, Subang BUMD, and Subang Regency Social Pillars
(11/9).
The activity was carried
out in the Cijambe District, Tanjungwangi Village in the context of exploring
and deepening information on the potential for social welfare for the synergy
of programs for poverty handling in empowering the Beneficiary Families (KPM)
of the Social Assistance Program.
On that occasion the
Director General of PFM, Asep Sasa Purnama said that the synergy of government
programs and the business world could increase local potential in the fields of
agriculture, fisheries, and plantations to increase social welfare for
KPM. "Hopefully the KPM recipients of social assistance can be empowered
to increase their potential in the synergy of government programs and the
business world with the use of PSKS," said the Director General of PFM
On that occasion, the
Directorate General of PFM together with the Social Service and BUMD of Subang
Regency reviewed several PSKS locations for poverty handling, which were
located at several points in Tanjungwangi Village, Cijambe Subang District.
In Tanjungwangi Village,
Cijambe Subang District, there are Social Assistance Beneficiary Families (KPM)
including the 368 KPM Basic Food Program and 1,158 KPM Cash Social Assistance
which have the potential to be empowered in synergies in the poverty handling.
