SEMARANG CITY (3 September 2021) - The Director General of
Poverty Handling (PFM), Asep Sasa Purnama held a meeting with the Central Java
Provincial Social Service, Semarang City Social Service, and Himbara. This is a
follow-up to the number of KPM that have not been distributed in the province
of Central Java when conducting data matching with the Minister of Social
Affairs on Friday afternoon.
The high number that has
not been distributed in the basic food assistance program has made the Minister
of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, appealed to distributors to immediately
distribute the assistance. Therefore, this meeting was held to look for a
strategy to quickly distribute it, "according to the direction of the
Minister of Social Affairs so that it can be distributed quickly, this meeting
is to find a strategy on how it can be distributed quickly," said the
Director General of PFM.
The Director General of
PFM hopes that Himbara will continue to coordinate with the social service
regarding the distribution of social assistance, so that existing problems do
not recur. For good synergy to occur in the regions, he also expects Regional
Coordinator (Korda) to continue to verify data regularly so that the data
remains updated.
"We ask that Korda
checks directly to the location to update the data, after all, there must be KPM
who graduated, KPM who died, or changed their domicile," said the Director
General of PFM.
The Director General of
PFM also asked Korda to socialize the PFM program to the underprivileged. He
considers that there are quite a lot of lower-class people who still do not
know about the existence of social assistance from the government, especially
from the Directorate General of PFM.
"It is appealed to
the Korda to always provide dissemination to the poor about this assistance,
because they are not aware of this program", said the Director General of
PFM.
