SEMARANG (3 September 2021) -
The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, together with a member of the Commission
VIII of the House of Representatives from the PKS faction, Bukhori made a
working visit in Semarang City to examine data on the distribution of social
assistance.
The Minister of Social Affairs saw that the
distribution rate in Semarang City for Beneficiary Families (KPM) who had not
yet transacted was still quite high. For this condition, the Minister of Social
Affairs urges distributors to immediately distribute social assistance to KPM
so that they can take advantage of the assistance, especially during a pandemic
like this.
Like her previous visits to several
regencies/cities, she asked that the distribution of social assistance in
Semarang City within this week should be completed. "It's hard, but it
must be resolved, because the number (of social assistance that has not been
distributed) is quite high," she said
In examining the data on the distribution of
the Basic Food Program in Semarang City, for example, there are still around
4,595 KPM from 30,208 social assistance recipients who have not made
transactions until the end of August 2021.
Similar to the Sembako Program, the Cash
Social Assistance (BST) still has 5,856 KPM that have not been received or around
Rp. 1.7 billion of social assistance that has not been distributed by PT. Pos
Indonesia for KPM.
The Minister of Social Affairs reminded that
the assistance is given directly to the recipients, so it does not go through
the village apparatus. "I asked you (a representative of PT Pos) to go
door to door, so it doesn't only count on the village apparatus, sir,"
said the Minister of Social Affairs.
The Minister of Social Affairs also reminded
local governments to always update KPM data at any time. With data that is
always updated, it is hoped that assistance will be more targeted. "It is
appealed to the Social Service to always monitor the progress of KPM data that
have graduated and have died so that they can be replaced by other
beneficiaries," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
