"If there are people who will receive assistance, but it turns out they have got it from the local government, it is better for these basic food assistances to be given to those who have not received it yet. I also said this during my visit to Jagakarsa, "said Juliari.
Today, Juliari visited two distribution points namely in RW 07, Slipi Village, Grogol District, and RW 01 Cipedak Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta. This is the distribution of basic food assistance Phase I which will soon follow for seven sub-districts in the Bodetabek area.
Juliari said, he came to ensure that the distribution of the basic food assistance provided by the President in Jakarta and Bodetabek was fast, precise, and made sure the contents were suitable.
"I need to ensure that the distribution of President’s basic food assistance does not only fast, right, but also made sure that the contents are appropriate," said Juliari.
As part
of the social safety net program, the Ministry of Social Affairs is
distributing social assistance to the affected communities of COVID-19, namely
the President’s basic food assistance and the cash social assistance (BST).
The President’s basic food assistance began to be distributed to affected communities of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta, Bogor Regency, Tangerang City and South Tangerang, Depok and Bekasi (Jabodetabek), April 20. The basic food assistance reaches 1.9 million families with a value of Rp. 600,000 will be distributed twice a month, bringing the total value to around Rp. 3.4 trillion.
While cash social assistance reaching 9 million families outside Jabodetabek who have not received the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Basic Food Assistance Program (Non-Cash Food Assistance) with a value of Rp. 600,000 / household / month. Both the President’s basic food assistance and BST, was distributed for three months, namely April, May, and June 2020.
Currently the Ministry of Social Affairs is collaborating with PT Pos Indonesia, which is supported by TNI personnel and assisted by RW and RT, so that the basic food assistance arrived at the beneficiary's family safely.
The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to encourage the acceleration of the distribution of social assistance to communities affected by COVID-19. The Minister of Social Affairs instructed his staff at the Ministry of Social Affairs to continue monitoring the distribution process of assistance until it was received by the community affected by COVID-19. Because they are in difficult conditions and currently in dire need of assistance.
