MATARAM (September 30, 2019) - The basketball court of the Child Social Rehabilitation Center that Needs Special Protection (BRSAMPK) "Paramita" Mataram on Sunday morning looks crowded. Three-wheeled motorbikes lined up neatly on the side, while several men and women who used wheelchairs and canes, walked towards a room not far from the basketball court. They are taking a wheelchair with a special design.

Shortly thereafter, the basketball court was bustling with the creaking of tires from the wheelchair and the screaming of the players. Apparently, the disability basketball team in Lombok was training this morning. This activity is a routine activity, where in one week they practice twice.

One of the organizers of the disability basketball team revealed that all this time they had difficulty practicing because of the difficulty in obtaining permission to use the basketball court facilities. Luckily this year they got permission from BRSAMPK "Paramita" Mataram.

Head of Mataram's "Paramita" BRSAMPK Ahmad Subarkah revealed that people with disabilities are also Balai families.

"They can use sports facilities here. In addition, this activity can provide motivation to service recipients not to never give up in the next life," Ahmad said.

Niar, one of the female basketball players who had just taken part in an international marathon event organized by Maybank in Bali and won a silver medal, enlivened the sport on the occasion.

"I hope that BRSAMPK "Paramita" can be a place for friends with disabilities to develop their talents and interests in sports in the future," Niar said.
