BOGOR (February 7th, 2024) – The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) through “Galih Pakuan” Center in Bogor moved quickly to provide Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) to Mulyadi (46) who suffered from chronic liver and stomach ailments in Bogor, West Java.

Mulyadi (46) was a father with a child. Mulyadi worked as a tailor. Before COVID-19 pandemic, Mulyadi had two employees to run his business. However, because of the low orders, Mulyadi ran his business by himself.

Since three months ago, Mulyadi had been suffering from a lump in his neck which was getting bigger each day. Since the lump appeared, Mulyadi has experienced shortness of breath, weakness, and his weight has decreased drastically.

Receiving news about Mulyadi's condition, since Monday (29/1) last week, MoSA delivered assistance to Mulyadi in the form of treatment at Bogor City Regional Hospital. The provisional diagnosis is given by the doctor on duty, dr. Dwi Endraningtias, Mulyadi experienced an enlarged thyroid gland which might lead to a tumor.

Observations would continue to be carried out to determine the type of tumor that Mulyadi was suffering from so that treatment could be appropriate. Mulyadi was hospitalized and is now undergoing outpatient treatment.

Until Tuesday (6/2), MoSA continued to pay attention to the condition of Mulyadi's family. His child, who was in arrears in paying the school registration fee, had been helped to pay it off. Monthly tuition fees had been paid until June 2024 with a total of IDR 1,005,000.

"I am very grateful to receive assistance from MoSA. Not only health assistance, but also assistance with various basic needs, basic nutritional needs, personal hygiene equipment, and household equipment," said Siti Masitoh -- Mulyadi's wife, full of gratitude.

MoSA also handed over a sewing machine for Mulyadi to use when he recovered. MoSA would continue to monitor Mulyadi's health during outpatient treatment.

Besides, Mulyadi's wife was given capital to become an entrepreneur and would continue to be assisted so that her business runs smoothly and the income she earns can support the family's economy.
