TEMANGGUNG (May, 4th 2024) – Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) through Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung strived for maximum treatment for beneficiaries. One of the efforts was to provide Special Therapy for Persons with Disabilities and Children with Special Needs (LATIH ADIKKU) service for those coming from poor families. “Therapy installations here are physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and doctor’s services,” The physiotherapist in MoSA’s Kartini Integrated Center in Temangganggung Laily Tri Utami said.

The advantages of therapy in Kartini Integrated Center were that everything was free, no queue as in the hospital, and supported by various facilities. There was also assistance from psychologists, and social workers, and education and counseling for the beneficiaries’ parents.  The beneficiaries’ parents could obtain the advantages. “The differences (with other therapy places) are it’s quicker, no queue, and also free,” Laily said.

The happiness wasn’t only felt by society, but also by the therapist who felt happy to give them their best. “I’m so happy to be able to serve a patient of children with special needs coming from poor families. For the families living far away, the centre provides pick-up car, too,” Laily explained.

Due to the high public interest in the therapy, the service has been replicated in some work areas of Kartini Integrated Center. The service which was also known as Therapy House was also replicated in Madiun City, Magelang City, Magetan Regency, Wonosobo Regency, Pekalongan Regency, Batang Regency, and Pekalongan City.

The Head of Social Office of Community Empowerment and Wonosobo Village Hasti also said that the therapy service was very useful for the people, especially those living in poverty. Thus, they had access to health facilities for their children.

“We are grateful for the Ministry of Social Affairs through Kartini Integrated Center in Temanggung has facilitated our people for therapy services, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy,” she said.
