KUPANG (11 October 2019) - Located at "Naibonat" Social Rehabilitation Center for Children who Needs Special Protection (BRSAMPK) Kupang, the Service Performance Improvement activity was carried out by Hasbullah, Inspector of Social Rehabilitation and Sunarto, Head of the Financial Section of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation. In this activity Hasbullah delivered material on the Government Internal Control Unit (SPIP) and the Performance Accountability System of Government Institution (SAKIP) in the Service Improvement Activities activity at "Naibonat" BRSAMPK  Kupang.

According to Hasbullah, SPIP and SAKIP are important components in achieving institutional goals in order to realize Good Governance and Clean Government. This will have an impact on the realization of world-class State Civil Apparatus (ASN), and this year there will be five working units proposed as Corruption-Free Areas (WBK) / Clean Serving Bureaucracy Areas (WBBM) in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Hasbullah added that ASN must focus on performance, not SPJ. Because currently the budgeting is based on performance which consists of programs and services. "Naibonat" BRSAMPK Kupang must prepare SPIP to realize the implementation of the Public Accountability Mechanism in rehabilitation center. As a result of the 2018 SAKIP evaluation, the Ministry of Social Affairs scored 68.10 on the predicate B. The inspector invited Kupang "Naibonat" BRSAMPK to increase SAKIP value, because the higher the level of accountability the higher the level of efficient use of the budget.

Sunarto also explained how the Standard Operating Procedures for financial accountability are based on the standards of The Audit Board (BPK).
