BANDUNG (August 29, 2019) - The Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation held a Synchronization of the Integrated Service Unit, Regional and Social Welfare Center Program (LKS) for Persons with Social Deviance and Victims of Human Trafficking for four days, August 28-31, 2019 at Grand Cokro Hotel, Bandung (08/28/2019).

This activity was attended by 84 people from the Provincial Social Service, Integrated Service Unit, Social Welfare Institutions and the Center and carried out in order to map the implementation of social rehabilitation programs carried out by Integrated Service Unit, Regions, and Social Welfare Institutions in the hope of producing a synchronization in the implementation of the program in 2019 and in the following years.

Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Socila Deviance and Victims of Human Trafficking (TS and KPO) Waskito Budi Kusumo stated that the process of social rehabilitation is a dynamic process.

"The process of social rehabilitation continues to develop and change with the discovery of theories and legal foundations in the social field," explained Budi.

Furthermore, Budi said that this development encouraged the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation to make adjustments in the implementation of the Social Rehabilitation program by launching the New Platform (NP) Social Rehabilitation Program.

"Changes to the NP 5.0 Progres are an increase in social rehabilitation from basic to advanced levels. This development needs to be applied and adjusted to the social rehabilitation program at the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation," said Budi.

One of the latest developments is the passing of Law No. 23 of 2014 about Regional Government which encourages the enactment of Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs regulation (Permensos) No. 9 of 2018 about Basic Technical Service Standards on Minimum Service Standards in the Social Sector in provincial areas and in regency / city areas and Permensos No. 16-20 of 2018 about Organizational Change and Work Arrangement (OTK) of the Technical Services Unit within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation.
