PEKANBARU (31 August 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to develop more adaptive social entrepreneurship programs to accelerate poverty alleviation.

 

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini and Member of Commission VIII DPR RI Achmad, accompanied by Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto and Director of PSPKKM Serimika BR Karo, handed over business development assistance for the Social Entrepreneurship Program (ProKUS) for Pekanbaru residents who have micro business startups.

 

Adaptive ProKUS business development assistance with a total value of 125 million rupiahs was given to 125 micro-enterprises through the Bengkalis Regency 'One Direction' business group, Tinera Jaya Cooperative Siak Regency, and PKK Kulim District, Pekanbaru City.

 

In addition, entrepreneurship assistance was given in the form of supporting equipment from the business is carried out with a total of around 119 million rupiahs for the Karang Taruna of Riau Province which has a micro business by empowering the surrounding community. Assistance was given to the Rejosari Youth Organization, Pebatuan Youth Organization, Umban Sari Youth Organization, Meranti Youth Organization, and Rokan Hulu Youth Organization.

 

"For all Karang Taruna (Youth Organization), you know that Indonesia is very rich and we have the ability. So Karang Taruna who has received stimulants for business keeps moving forward. When you fall, keep getting up and get up again," Social Minister Risma message to Karang Taruna.

 

Social Minister Risma also explained the concept of social empowerment through a simple and measurable Social Entrepreneurship Program (ProKUS). How the empowerment program is sustainable and integrated with other programs to increase the standard of living of a sustainable KPM, through training, mentoring and accessibility.

 

Through this activity, it is expected to be able to develop the potential and entrepreneurial spirit of the beneficiaries, as well as a part of efforts to handle and recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Present at the meeting of the Governor of Riau, Deputy Chairman of DPRD of Riau Province, Head of the Provincial Social Service, representatives of HIMBARA of Riau Province, the Special Staff to the Minister of Social Affairs, and officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
