KUPANG (14 December 2022) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini distributed ATENSI assistance and the proceeds from kitabisa.com donations to four beneficiaries with disabilities at Kupang Efata Center. On that occasion, Minister of Social Affairs persuaded the parents to try to recover their son and daughter.
As is known, parents are still reluctant to take their children for treatment and therapy because of the long treatment time and the long distance from home to the health facility. For this reason, Risma assured parents that Ministry of Social Affairs will facilitate accommodation and transportation during the treatment process.
"No need to worry. We will pay for everything. The important thing is that you want to do it. "It will take a while, maybe up to a month, but then your child will be able to walk," she said.
Apart from that, parents also feel pessimistic about their child's recovery. Knowing this, Minister of Social Affairs immediately demonstrated the success of one of the beneficiaries who initially could only lie in bed, but after therapy, he was able to carry out daily activities independently.
“That's not fair for your child, you got what I mean. Don't let it happen, we have to believe that there is still God up there. You must be willing because your child still has a long life. Now that you are still alive, if they are no longer there, who will take care of your child. "Moreover, now a lot of donations have come in," she said.
Risma also advised the Regional Secretary of East Manggarai Regency, Bonifasius Hasudungan, who was present on the occasion to persuasively persuade parents to take their children for treatment.
On this occasion, there were four beneficiaries present, namely Yohanes Fukundus Koko and Ignasius Niki from East Manggarai, Naila Lembu Nai from Manggarai, and Apriliano Rabun from West Manggarai. The four of them received ATENSI from Ministry of Social Affairs through Efata Center in Kupang and Mahatmiya Center in Bali.
Apart from that, they also received assistance from donations in various amounts from kitabisa.com. Yohanes received a donation of IDR 62 million, Ignasius IDR 75 million, Naila IDR 47 million, and Apriliano IDR 27 million.
Kitabisa.com CEO, Alfatih Timur, who was also present, said that the assistance was given in the form of money which was given in stages according to needs.
“The assistance provided is in the form of cash, some of which has already been spent. Everything is distributed in stages according to the patient's needs. "There is also assistance from local foundations," he said.
Kitabisa.com's collaboration with Ministry of Social Affairs has been in place for the last few years. Ministry of Social Affairs carries out routine media scanning to obtain information from people who need it. They were assessed and given intervention by 31 Centers spread across Indonesia. In the intervention, not all costs could be met, so Ministry of Social Affairs collaborated with kitabisa.com.
