BANDUNG (4 July 2020) - Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara symbolically handed over the Business Capital Incentive Social Assistance (BSIMU) Social Entrepreneurship Program to 286 Beneficiary Families of the Graduating Family Hope Program in West Bandung Regency. Each Beneficiary Families  received assistance worth Rp. 3,500,000, - with a total assistance of Rp. 1.01.000.000,- . This program is a continuation program from social assistance to social empowerment, with the target of the Graduation Family Hope Program.

The Social Entrepreneurship assistance was given directly by the Minister of Social Affairs to 4 Beneficiary Families of the Graduation Family Hope Program at the Closing of the Technical Coordination Meeting and Human Resources Development for the Assisting Family Hope Program at the Mason Pine Hotel, Bandung. The symbolic handover was accompanied by the the Deputy Chairmanof Commission VIII DPR RI DR. TB. H. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si, Director General of Social Empowerment, Director General of Social Protection and Security.

In his directive, the Minister of Social Affairs explained that the Family Hope Program received serious attention from the President. The success of this program also depends on the mentors in the field.

"The Family Hope Program will not be successful without all of you. You are the front line and spearhead of the Family Hope Program. Your task is not easy, you are the spearhead of social welfare. Thank you and the highest appreciation to the Human Resources of the Family Hope Program throughout Indonesia," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Furthermore, the Minister of Social Affairs discussed with the representatives of the Regional Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Family Hope Program who were present to hear the impressions and messages of the Family Hope Program Coordinators when reaching the community in the field.

Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII, TB. H. Ace Hasan Syadzily greatly appreciates the Ministry of Social Affairs for taking quick steps, and being present in the community.

"This is very important to be supported by Commission VIII of the DPR RI. One of them is the Family Hope Program (PKH). Commission VIII urges PKH HR to be at the forefront. Must provide the best solution for the community, especially the Beneficiary Families of the Family Hope Program", said Ace Hasan.

On the previous day, Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto said that Social Entrepreneurship is very simple, easy and measurable. The model used is the Triple Track (3T) model, which is a simple 3 stage Social Entrepreneurship program. Starting with providing Business Capital Incentive Social Assistance (BSiMU). Then there is the Business Incubation Mentoring (MiBi). Mentoring is carried out by someone who has certain abilities to transfer his abilities to the community. Then social assistance is carried out by the District Social Welfare Personnel (TKSK).

One of the recipients of the Business Capital Incentive Social Assistance, Ike Kusumawati, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for being assisted in her business.

"Alhamdulillah, this program is very helpful for my business capital. I have graduated since 2019. I will use this assistance to improve my business on choconut milk rice. Hopefully in the future this can increase business capital," said Mrs. Ike.

Another recipient of social entrepreneurship assistance, Tati Ismawati said she received the Family Hope Program in 2016 and Graduation in 2018.

"I am from Lembang, Kahuripan Village, very glad and happy to receive social entrepreneurship assistance. In the future I want to have a yogurt milk processing business", said Mrs. Tati.

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also gave awards to social assistants of the Outstanding Family Hope Program in the Independent Prosperous Graduation which is expected to encourage behavioral change and independence of the Beneficiary Families of the Family Hope Program.

Also present at the event were the Director General for Poverty Handling, the Regional Secretary for West Java Province, the Regional Secretary for the West Bandung District, Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security, Head of BBPPKS Bandung, Director of PFM Region I, Director of Family Social Security (JSK), Director of Remote Indigenous Communities (KAT), and Head of West Java Province Social Service.
