BANTEN (27 August 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs together with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives directly handed over social assistance for masks and vitamins in Banten area, after the launch of the distribution of masks and vitamins by the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini at the Aneka Bhakti Building of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Friday (08/27/2021).

 

As stated by Tri Rismaharini, currently the Ministry of Social Affairs wants to mobilize social elements in helping the community, especially the less fortunate and poor through social pillars, one of which is Karang Taruna (Youth Organization).

 

"Now is the time for Karang Taruna to move to help their brothers and sisters in their respective areas for the poor," said Risma during the launch of the social assistance for masks and vitamins.

 

Without a long delay, the distribution of masks and vitamins was symbolically handed over in Banten area. Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hartono Laras accompanied by Acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Salahuddin handed over an aid package through members of Commission VIII DPR RI to the Banten Province Karang Taruna at Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University Banten.

 

The Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared 1,270 aid packages for each district/city throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, the aid will be directly distributed to vulnerable communities. For the Banten area, assistance was handed over to the community through Karang Taruna, especially in the Pandeglang Regency and Lebak Regency, Banten Province.

 

In this case, the Ministry of Social Affairs also cooperates with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives. Took place at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, the handover was represented by the Head of Commission VIII Team, Yandri Susanto.

 

In addition to handing over social assistance, members of Commission VIII of the DPR RI also hold meetings to absorb aspirations and real information on the ground. Which will be used to increase contributions optimally in the implementation of education and social welfare of the community.

 

On this occasion, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided 5 (five) laptops from the social empowerment program for underprivileged students of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin.

Present at the event were the Chancellor of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, the Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion, the Director of BNPB Early Warning, and the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Banten Province.
