KARAWANG (11 May 2024) - Becoming a District Social Welfare Worker (TKSK) is a call for Badrudin Mustofa (47), a member of TKSK Cilamaya Kulon, Karawang Regency, West Java. Badrudin, who has been serving since 2009, is still committed to delivering social welfare for those in need (PPKS).

Badrudin travels from village to village every day, meeting new people. As TKSK, he attempts to investigate the difficulties that residents confront and then propose solutions. TKSK is appointed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, and provincial, and regency/city social offices to help in the implementation of social welfare within the scope of their duties. TKSK currently has 7,160 members distributed across Indonesia.

One type of service provided by Badrudin is access for persons with disabilities to develop their potential and enhance their standard of living. Sanusi (35), a disabled person from Karawang Regency, has profited from TKSK. He acquired hair-cutting training from the Karawang Regency Social Office following Badrudin's advice and recommendation. Sanusi may now be economically self-sufficient by starting a hair-cutting business thanks to the instruction he has received.

"Becoming TKSK is a call. Our family understands that we can't decide when to go and when we have to return home. When we are needed, we, as TKSK, will be there," Badrudin stated confidently.

Badrudin is one of the social pillars whose existence is needed by society. TKSK is a symbol of humans as social beings, helping each other and benefiting others with no strings attached.
