JAKARTA (February 8, 2020) - The Integrated Referral Service System (SLRT) plays an important role in improving the accuracy and speed of poverty reduction and social protection programs. Under the policy of Social Affairs Minister Juliari P. Batubara, SLRT is strengthened and continues to be developed.
In 2020, Juliari decided to expand the number of SLRT quotas and Social Welfare Centers (Puskesos). From the original 140, it is now increased to 190 SLRTs and from 200 Puskesos to 600 Puskesos.
"The SLRT program has proven effective in helping to identify the needs of the poor and vulnerable to poverty and then connecting them with programs and services managed by the central and regional governments," said Juliari, in Jakarta, Saturday (08/02/2020).
SLRT is a one-stop service for various social problems faced by the community. The SLRT Secretariat is at the regency/city level. The Puskesos is a one-stop service similar to SLRT, which is based at the village office. Therefore, this service reaches the villages, so it directly touches the needs of the community.
Regarding the addition of the SLRT and Puskesos quota, it was also conveyed by the Director General of Social Empowerment Pepen Nazaruddin when monitoring the implementation of the SLRT in Gowa District, South Sulawesi, today.
"This addition is because SLRT is a priority program that functions to accommodate and channel community complaints. In addition, SLRT also helps accelerate the poverty reduction agenda," Pepen said.
"The more SLRT that grows in Indonesia, the better the services provided to the community, so the existence of SLRT must be maintained in terms of quality and service. In addition, SLRT must synergize with regional apparatus organizations so that it does not appear to provide double services," Pepen said at the Gowa Regency Social Office.
Pepen added, under any conditions, SLRT must continue to run and maintain its quality because the success of the government can be seen from the concern for the poor and needy.
"We must build SLRT branding with full commitment so that whatever the problem is can be accommodated and channeled through SLRT," he said.
Pepen stated that SLRT increases the accuracy and speed of poverty reduction and social protection programs. "Residents who receive services at once can be included in the database of the poor managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs. So they are immediately registered as beneficiaries," he said.
That way, social assistance can run fast, wider, and right on target. People in a village who experience problems, and say they feel they have not received social assistance, can contact the SLRT secretariat or SLRT facilitator.
"Or poor people who are sick but cannot afford treatment. They can contact the SLRT secretariat, to make a referral to the health office, which in turn receives health assistance," Pepen said.
The Social Office of Gowa Regency itself became one of the award recipients related to the results of the performance evaluation of public service delivery in 2019 by the Regional Secretariat of the Government of Gowa Regency, one of which was due to the implementation of SLRT.
