GUNUNGKIDUL (November 15, 2022) - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhajir Effendi accompanied by Director of Social Protection for Victims of Non-Natural Social Disasters Mira Riyati Kurniasih, Regent of Gunungkidul Regency Sunaryanta handed over the assistance for the repair of SD Muhamadiyah 3 Bogor Building, Playen Gunung Kidul in a total of IDR 100,000,000. The provision of this assistance is the government's response to the collapsed roof disaster that befell the school.

 

As previously known, the collapse of the roof of the classroom at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bogor, Playen, Gunungkidul occurred on November 8, resulting in at least 1 student's death and 11 others being injured. Therefore the Ministry of Social Affairs provided Heirs Benefit worth IDR 15,000,000 and Food Costs from the Antasena Sentra worth IDR 2,000,000 to the family of the late Fauzi Ajitama who was a victim in the incident when the school roof collapsed. Besides that, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provided Wound Compensation worth IDR 2,500,000 and food packages to each of the 11 victims of minor injuries. The assistance was given on November 11 at the residence of the late Fauzi Ajitama's family and SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bogor, Playen.

 

One of the impacts of the collapse of the school's roof, some students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bogor are still traumatized. Therefore the Ministry of Social Affairs sent an LDP (Psychosocial Support Service) team to treat the trauma experienced by these students.

 

The Ministry of Social Affairs dispatched an LDP team from the Magelang Antasena Center which also joined the UAD Disaster Management Center Team, DIY Muhamadiyah Disaster Management Center, DIY Clinical Psychologists Association, Lazizmu, and Muhamadiyah Volunteers to provide therapy to students.

 

The LDP activity was held at the Playen Village Hall, Gunungkidul for 2 days from 14 to 15 November 2022. On the first day, LDP was given to children in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6, while on the second day LDP was given to KB, Kindergarten, and Kindergarten children. grades 1 and 2 with a total of approximately 300 children.

 

In this activity, children are given therapy to relieve trauma and anxiety, including drawing, singing, and playing. In addition, the LDP team also provided butterfly therapy to the students, which is a breathing technique to calm children so they don't get anxious. It is hoped that with the presence of the LDP team, the students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Bogor can recover from their trauma and return to carrying out their usual learning activities.
