JAKARTA (February 20, 2023) – The Inspectorate General is holding an Internal Audit Charter for the Ministry of Social Affairs within the scope of the Inspectorate General. The activity which was held at Aneka Bhakti Cawang Kencana Building was attended by functional auditors and field inspectors led by the Secretary to the Inspectorate General.

The Internal Audit Charter itself is an official document that defines the objectives, authorities, and responsibilities of Internal Audit. The Internal Supervision Charter stipulates the position of Internal Supervision in the organization, including the nature of the functional reporting relationship of the APIP Leader to the Heads of K/L/D.

The Ministry of Social Affairs Internal Control Charter was previously established in July 2019. The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, ratified the latest charter which was recognized and signed by Working Unit leaders within the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In this Internalization, it is emphasized that the Inspectorate General must carry out its duties and functions, and authority. To support this, several things must be done, namely the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs is always involved in discussing strategic organizational issues, including discussions on achieving organizational goals, changing organizational structure, and optimizing the use of information technology; The Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs develops and implements an Electronic-Based Monitoring System (e-audit) with integrated application and database support in work units; The Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs gets a professional allocation of resources, marked by trained or certified Human Resources following the roles and services of APIP; and the Annual Oversight Work Program (PKPT) of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs was approved by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The Secretary of the Inspectorate General, Dody Sukmono, said, “The Internal Audit Charter is the key to accessing the Inspectorate General in carrying out its duties and functions. This charter is at the same time a guarantee given by the highest leadership, namely the Minister of Social Affairs for the Inspectorate General to oversee accountability in the implementation of social welfare."
