CIANJUR (December 3, 2022) - To fill their free time and relieve the trauma of the victims of Cianjur earthquake, the Ministry of Social Affairs through BBPPKS Yogyakarta invited women, young women, and several men of evacuees to weave plastic bags. They are residents of Ciputri Village, Pacet District, and Jambu Dipa Village, Warung Kondang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java.

Even though the activity was carried out in an evacuation tent, happy and enthusiastic expressions could be seen on the faces of the participants. The 55 people who were divided into two locations were enthusiastic about making woven bags accompanied by instructors brought in by BBPPKS Yogyakarta Team from 3 to 6 December 2022.

Weaving bags is a medium for trauma healing that is easy to practice and interesting to develop in the future.

While the women from the Pacet village were engrossed in weaving, the children in the next tent were invited to draw and color by Mulya Jaya Center team and Bandung Poltekesos students.

Trauma Healing activities in the village of Jambu Dipa, Warung Kondang District, BBPPKS Yogyakarta Team collaborated with Teams from the Integrated Center Kartini Temanggung and Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center Surakarta.
