BOGOR (April 10, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) continued to improve the technical capabilities of financial management officers. In line with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, it was hoped that this activity would continue to strengthen the integrity of the relevant officers.
"In accordance with the instructions of the Minister, MoSA through the Center for Education, Training and Professional Development (Pusdiklatbangprof) in collaboration with the Training Center for the Financial and Development Supervision Agency (BPKP), trained treasurers within MoSA," said the Head of Pusdiklatbangprof MoSA Afrizon Tanjung, recently.
The activity entitled Training to Increase Financial Management Capacity for Treasurers within MoSA in 2023 was held for four days, on 3-6 April 2023, at the BPKP Supervision Training Center in Ciawi, Bogor. The objective of the activity was to increase the financial management capacity of treasurers in MoSA work units.
"The goal is for participants to understand the main tasks of the treasurer, be able to recognize risks and build a control system in financial management," he said.
In line with this, a number of things were emphasized in the technical capacity strengthening component, including a re-emphasis on the duties of the treasurer, including regarding cash budget management and the role of the treasurer as a supervisory partner.
"Then, recognizing budget management issues, elements of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP) and risk assessment, compiling a risk matrix for controlling the financial transaction level, to simulating financial problems," he explained.
Meanwhile, this capacity building training was expected to have a positive impact on the future financial management of MoSA, namely minimizing errors in the form of findings.
"The outcome (from this training) is how the efforts made by our leaders to minimize past findings so far, which have been resolved at the BPK, no more emerge new ones," said Afrizon.
According to him, one of the spearheads to prevent this from happening again laid on the treasurer. "So, besides strengthening their technical abilities through this training, this includes increasing their integrity," he added.
For this reason, Afrizon continued, a number of facilitators from the BPKP emphasized the material of the two components to the Expenditure Treasurer and Expenditure Assistant Treasurer from the work unit at MoSA, numbering no less than 30 people during the training.
In addition, to measure the success rate of learning, the training and learning process began with a pre-test on the first day, Monday (3/4) and ended with a post-test on the last day, Thursday (6/4).
