Jakarta (July 13, 2022) - One of the strategic and concrete steps taken by the Government in the context of simplifying the bureaucracy is cutting echelon positions and strengthening functional positions based on certain skills and competencies.

 

Bureaucratic simplification is certainly intended to create a more dynamic and professional bureaucracy to increase effectiveness and efficiency to support the performance of government services to the public, followed by efforts to increase the competence of the State Civil Apparatus.

 

MoSA through the Center for Education, Training, and Professional Development (Pusdiklatbangprof) conducts technical guidance to strengthen the functional positions of social counselors of MoSA.

 

In this technical guidance, Herman Koeswara social counselor senior of Pusdiklatbangprof conveyed an essential message to social counselors in the technical implementing unit (UPT) that they must have an empowering mindset.

 

"Social counselors must have an empowering mindset, have the knowledge of suggestion to hypnotize the target group," explained Herman.

 

According to him, social counselors must bring someone to change. so that the previously helpless can become empowered.

 

Meanwhile, at the same time, Indro Widi Handoko, a Social Counselor at PusdiklatbangProf who acts as a moderator, said that this activity would be carried out regularly for the Social Counselor Forum.

 

Indro stated that the purpose of this activity is to provide opportunities and convenience for ASN who have the competence and meet the requirements in developing their careers through social counselor functional positions.

 

"The arrangement of ASN in the position of Social Counselor in Ministries, Institutions and Work Units needs to be done to find out the needs and formation of functional positions as well as career development to optimize services in the social welfare sector," explained Indro.
