JAKARTA (June 6, 2024) -- Secretary General of the Ministry of Social
Affairs, Robben Rico, confirmed that the social assistance funds for
beneficiary families (KPM) that were not transacted have all been returned to
the state treasury. Therefore, there are no longer any social assistance funds
withheld by the disbursing banks.
“There is no money held by the disbursing banks. We have proof of all the transfers,” emphasized Robben Rico when met at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon (5/6). The Secretary General's statement was in response to the news circulating regarding the Summary of Semester Audit Results (IHPS) for the second semester of 2023.
This statement was questioned again during the Working Meeting of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) with the Minister of Social Affairs and other ministries on Tuesday afternoon (4/6).
On the same occasion, Acting Inspector General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dodi Sukmono, also emphasized that there are no funds held by the disbursing banks. “At the bottom of the (BPK) findings, our response is already there,” he said. For instance, regarding the balance of social assistance funds that have not been deposited into the state treasury amounting to IDR 227.43 billion, consisting of KPM that did not transact and the Prosperous Family Cards (KKS), the Ministry of Social Affairs has followed up by depositing IDR 226.84 billion into the state treasury. This is detailed by BPK in the IHPS for the second semester of 2023. Furthermore, regarding the BPK recommendation on the remaining social assistance funds that have not been deposited into the state treasury amounting to IDR 593.97 million, the Ministry of Social Affairs has also followed up by depositing IDR 592.4 million into the state treasury, while the remaining IDR 1.57 million was successfully transacted by the KPM according to the disbursing bank's explanation, amounting to IDR 1.45 million, and IDR 120 thousand was administrative costs.
Dodi explained that there are no funds held at the disbursing banks. The untransacted funds have been returned to the state treasury. The Ministry of Social Affairs has been diligent in reporting the disbursement of social assistance funds to BPK, routinely every three months, and signed directly by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini.
