JAKARTA (November 15, 2019) - Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara with the Minister's Expert Staff for Social Accessibility, Ministerial Expert Staff, Director General of Social Empowerment Pepen Nazaruddin and Echelon II and III officials within the Directorate General of Social Empowerment attended the Golden Generation of Remote Indigenous Community (KAT) Festival at TMII.

This activity was attended by children from 28 remote traditional community locations with one companion with a total of 112 participants. KAT children can exchange experiences and information about their respective areas. The Minister of Social Affairs also took the time to chat with the children and listen to their complaints. They look very enthusiastic when telling stories about their daily lives and what their dreams are. In fact, one of the participants had tears in his eyes when telling his life experience and he was also very happy because he was given the opportunity to visit the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta. The Minister of Social Affairs understands what can be done for these KAT children.

This activity was packaged very interestingly by introducing them to historical places in Indonesia, among others; visited the National Monument, Istiqlal Mosque, Cathedral Church, Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, and the DPR / MPR RI Building in Jakarta.
