TEMANGGUNG (April 28th, 2020) – In 2019, Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities (BBRSPDI) “Kartini” in Temanggung achieved the title “Corruption-Free Area” (WBK). In 2020, they will continue to develop to get the title “Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area” (WBBM).

The series of stages began with the presentation of ZI development towards WBK/WBBM via video conference which was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2020. The video conference was initiated by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and was followed by Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and the Directorate General of Poverty Handling. The video conference was also attended by the Inspector General and the Secretary of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs as interviewees.

Langgeng Setiawan, Head of BBRSPDI “Kartini” Temanggung, in his presentation explained about the Profile and Program of the Center and the progress of changes after receiving the title of WBK.

Changes that emphasize the assessment of the Evaluation Worksheet (LKE) with the main focus on six areas of change as an element of leverage to achieve the title of WBBM.

The Inspector General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dadang Iskandar, highly appreciated the presentation done by BBRSPDI “Kartini” and 9 other work units. Especially the Video Campaign of WBK BBRSPDI “Kartini” that was remade during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was appreciated because of the creativity and the innovativeness that could be taken as an example for other work units.

“Especially for Balai Besar Kartini, it is important to add data beneficiaries, human resources from year by year, and service achievements since its establishment in 1904 as well as observing the challenges it encountered,” said Dadang.

Moreover, the main thing that was emphasized by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs was that financial management must be properly guarded and the use of the state property must be in accordance with applicable laws.

The video conference which lasted for 5 hours was closed by the Secretary of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
