MARTAPURA (18 December 2019) - BLBI "Abiyoso" Cimahi held Braille Literacy Needs Mapping and Assistance in the Use of Audio Mobile Library (AML) Applications at PSBN "Fajar Harapan" Martapura.

The activity was attended by 15 participants consisting of 4 ASN people with visual sensory disabilities (PDSN) and 11 PDSN beneficiaries in the Social Guidance Room of the Blind Social Institution (PSBN) "Fajar Harapan" Martapura, South Kalimantan Province.

The activity began with the opening which was attended by the Head of the Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) "Abiyoso" in Cimahi, Isep Sepriyan, the Head of PSBN "Fajar Harapan" Martapura, Facharudin Salman, Head of the Section for Guidance and Resocialization, Ngatono, Head of the Section for the Provision and Utilization of Braille Literacy and the Assistance Team for the Utilization of AML BLBI Abiyoso.

Isep in his speech said that technological advances, especially the use of smartphones among blind people, make it easier to access various information and knowledge, in this case BLBI Abiyoso develops applications and uses AML for PDSN to make it easier for PDSNs to access information and practical knowledge in the AML application whose application can be downloaded easily on the Playstore.

Facharudin thanked the BLBI Team for being here to carry out the mapping of Braille Literacy needs and technical guidance on how to use the AML application which is very useful for people with visual impairments in accessing information through applications on smartphones which at this time are very familiar among blind people in the environment Fajar Harapan Home.

The event was continued with technical guidance on the use of AML carried out by the Assistance Team who immediately provided guidance starting from downloading applications, registering, receiving and experimenting as AML application users.
