BANDUNG (25 November 2019) - Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI) "Abiyoso" Cimahi in carrying out its duties as a braille literacy management agency held a workshop entitled "Describing Images in Braille Literacy" which aims to complete information in braille literacy needed by People with Visual Sensory Disabilities (PDSN) when accessing information presented in a visual form in the form of images, tables, graphs, diagrams and symbols. Workshop activities were held on November 25-27 2019 at Ahadiat Hotel & Bungalow Bandung.

The activity was attended by 30 participants from BLBI employees "Abiyoso", Abiyoso Reader Community, Bandung City and Cimahi City Special School Teachers, BRSPDSN "Wyata Guna" Social Workers and West Java Provincial Language Center Researchers with Idam Fitriadi from the Indonesian Publisher Association ( IKAPI) West Java Province, Imam Jahrudin from Pikiran Rakyat Daily and Didi Tarsidi as Literacy Practitioner.

The workshop was opened by the Head of BLBI "Abiyoso", Isep Sepriyan. He thanked and conveyed his hopes to the participants who had attended and the resource persons who had agreed to attend this workshop. Active roles and collaboration during this implementation between participants and resource persons, can contribute in the form of an Image Descriptive Guidelines Manuscript in Braille Literacy BLBI “Abiyoso” in Cimahi 2019.

On the first day apart from the opening, the workshop was continued with group discussions which were divided into three groups with discussion materials on the Draft Descriptive Guidelines for Chapters I and IV by group 1, Chapter II by Group 2 and Chapter III by Group 3. Meanwhile, on the second day there were explanations filled of the three speakers who discussed the draft image description in Braille Literacy and continued with a panel of group discussion results.
