BRS Watunas "Mulya Jaya" Cares for Flood Victims
JAKARTA (January 5th 2020) - The Social Service Team for the Flood Disaster Care Movement of the former Social Rehabilitation Center for Women with Disabilities (BRS Watunas) "Mulya Jaya" Jakarta handed over aid to flood victims in the area of Rawa Buaya Village, West Jakarta. There are two neighborhoods affected by flooding in the sub district area.
The assistance was received by Raja S. Ginting, Chairman of the Onward Indonesian Volunteer Alliance as Chairman of the local Posko. "According to information, there are several locations affected by the flood, which are relatively low in assistance," he said.
The BRS Watunas "Mulya Jaya" Jakarta team handed over assistance in the form of ready-to-eat snacks, clothing needs and other necessities. Apart from providing daily necessities, the social workers of BRS Watunas "Mulya Jaya" Jakarta also provide psychosocial support services and social assistance of trauma healing for the flood victims.
