BRSAMPK "Rumbai" Accelerates the Disbursement of Child Social Care Assistance

PEKANBARU (April 26th 2020) – Balai Social Rehabilitation Center  nnnnnnnn of Children Needing Special Protection (BRSAMPK) "Rumbai" in Pekanbaru held technical guidance for distribution of Assistance for Child Social Rehabilitation in 2020 via video conference to 54 Administrators of Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA) recipients of assistance, 3 Supervisors, Social Worker Service Units, and 7 Social Worker Service Units in working areas of Provinces of Riau, Riau Islands, West Sumatra, and Lampung.

Acceleration of distribution aid is related to the impact situation of COVID-19 and Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which have been implemented especially in Pekanbaru, Riau Province and West Sumatra Province. The use of aid can also directed at handling and preventing COVID-19, such as providing vitamins, masks, hand sanitizers, or gloves.

Head of BRSAMPK "Rumbai" Pekanbaru, Ahmad Subarkah, said "We estimate that aid funds will have entered accounts of each child this Monday," said Ahmad Subarkah as directed by Director General of Social Rehabilitation Ministry of Social Affairs Republic of Indonesia regarding acceleration of distribution assistance through Balai / Loka, they are currently waiting for disbursement of aid funds by bank to the child's account.

54 LKSAs who received assistance was carried out by social worker service unit who were in the district / city.  Assistance is carried out in order to use of aid funds by LKSAs is according to the technical guidelines. In addition to fulfilling nutrition, aid funds are also intended to support social care and family support in overcoming crises children on COVID-19 pandemic situation.

He also gave directions to LKSA administrators who received assistance and social worker to be able proactively prepareadministrative files needed for printing account books and disbursing aid funds at the nearest BNI branch in each region. Other things that are also important concern to management team of social assistance BRSAMPK "Rumbai" Pekanbaru are description and evaluation of aid distribution in 2019. Ahmad Subarkah hopes that this year it can minimize problems that arise in process of implementing aid distribution.

Also through this video conference, management team of social assistance BRSAMPK "Rumbai" Pekanbaru opened QnA and discussions with LKSA administrators as technical guidance in finding solutions to difficulties and obstacles faced by LKSA managers who received assistance.
