BRSODHIV "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate Commemorate World Aids Day (HAS)

TERNATE (December 1st 2019) -World AIDS Day (HAS) commemorated every December 1st aims to remind the importance of the role and commitment of the countries of the world in the efforts to prevent HIV AIDS. One of the biggest problems experienced by friends of people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (ODHA) is still a high degree of negative stigma to them. The Stigma can come from the community, the school environment, the workplace even the ODHA family itself.

Social Rehabilitation Center for Person with HIV (BRSODHIV) "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate commemorating World Aids Day (HAS) located in the yard of Balai. As for the theme of the memorial HAS this time is "shared success Society". This theme is expected to spur the participation of the community in eroded the negative stigma against the friend of ODHA. The invitation is present in this alert HAS a total of 500 people consisting of elements of the middle school students, equal High school, higher education, community leaders, counselors, health officers and stakeholders of HIV management in Ternate city North Maluku province.

This series of warning events HAS begun at 06.30 WIT starting with the Soya-Soya dance, a talkshow presenting a resource from BRSODHIV "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate, health practitioner, Social Welfare Institute of ODHA Makududara Ternate, Testimonial, stand up comedy, door prize sharing and hospitality. At the talk show session was present as a speaker is Dr. Rabiatul Adawiyah as a health practitioner, Ryan Ardiyansyah La Parman representatives from LKS Makududara and R as ODHA.

In his speech, head of BRSODHIV "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate, Udan Suheli explained the Program menu of Social Rehabilitation (PROGRES) ODHA provided by Balai include: Help (Aiming help), Therapy, Social Care and Family Support. "At this moment I would expect Balai can be a leading sector in social rehabilitation to friends ODHA, family and society/LKS," he concluded.

BRSODHIV "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate is the technical implementation Unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia which has the main task of providing a social rehabilitation Program to friends of ODHA. The Program aims to improve the functionality and social capacity of ODHA.

Since its founding in 2017 BRSODHIV "Wasana Bahagia" Ternate has launched various types of services to address the social problems experienced by ODHA and his family. The program is Time Bound Shelter, communication, information and education, Quick Response Team (TRC), Community Based Care, social rehabilitation services based on LKS and society (self-reliance) and home services.
