BRSPDM "Dharma Guna" Enhances Collaboration with Partners
BENGKULU (December 26th 2019) - The Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Mental Disabilities (BRPSDM) "Dharma Guna" in Bengkulu, held Mapping and Analysis for the Development of a Disability Service Model. This activity is carried out in order to increase cooperation with related agencies that have been established so far.
The activity was opened by the Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities (RSPD) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Margowiyono. In his direction, Margowiyono conveyed the importance of the best service to persons with disabilities, both physical, mental, sensory (visual and hearing), intellectual disabilities, all must receive good and equal treatment.
Margowiyono appreciated this activity "hopefully it will become a forum for institutions in the regions and other LKS to contribute to services people with disabilities," he said.
Furthermore, all media services, both films and others, must be equipped with sign language. "So that those with hearing and speaking disabilities can find out information and events in society through mass media, especially electronics," he said.
Head of BRSPDM "Dharma Guna" Bengkulu, Dardi said that BRSPDM "Dharma Guna" Bengkulu, which is the only social rehabilitation center for people with mental disabilities in Sumatra, will continue to improve the quality of services with main programs and other supporting programs in the future.
"We hope that our partners here can make a real contribution to people with mental disabilities. Of course, it is a joint homework that must be done," said Dardi.
Meanwhile, Desy Afrita, an education practitioner from Bengkulu University, gave material on Management of Handling of Persons with Disabilities.
The activity, which lasted until December 27th, was attended by Bengkulu's "Dharma Guna" BRSPDM partners such as Bengkulu Province Social Service, District and City PD Assistant, Regency and City Social Service Assistant for Bengkulu Province, Regency and City TKSK Coordinator, Provincial Health Office and Bengkulu City, to the Selebar District Police, the Head of BPJS Bengkulu Province, the RSUD M. Yunus Bengkulu Province, the Provincial and Bengkulu City Population and Civil Registration Service and the PPL IAIN Students and the Health Polytechnic of the Bengkulu Ministry of Health.
