BEKASI (April 30th, 2020) – Bekasi “Tan Miyat” Blind Center (BRSPDSN) is preparing temporary shelters for victims affected by COVID-19, this is in accordance with the instruction of the Director General of Social Rehabilitation who stated that 41 Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation to prepare temporary shelters for victims affected by COVID-19.

Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, visited the BRSPDSN “Tan Miyat” Temporary Shelter which was prepared for victims affected by COVID-19. COVID-19 victims such as workers and/or families who have been laid off and do not have a place to live in Jabodetabek and require temporary housing will be served for approximately three months.

“At the “Tan Miyat” Center, the Temporary Shelter was originally Hasta Husada Clinic Production Installation building, which during the COVID-19 pandemic was not operating,” said Iriani. The Director General of Social Rehabilitation agreed with the decision by saying that the location was suitable to be used as a shelter for women, children, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups.

This was conveyed by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation after symbolically distributing medical equipment assistance to ASN, PPNPN and Social Assistant in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation at BRSPDSN “Tan Miyat” Bekasi. This visit was also attended by Directors in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Inspector for Social Rehabilitation, Head of Social Rehabilitation Center in the Bekasi area, Heads of Section in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Coordinator of the Quick Reaction Team (TRC), representatives of UNICEF and the National Forum for Childcare Institutions for Neglected Children (PSAA)/LKSA.
