NAIBONAT (June 24, 2021) - The NTT Province Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) Competency Improvement activity in Naibonat was officially closed by the Regent of Kupang, Korinus Masneno accompanied by the Infantry Battalion Commander 743/PSY, Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Andi Lulianto at Rifle Company A Yonif/743, Naibonat District, Kupang Regency, Thursday (24/6).

The Regent of Kupang thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs for holding a Tagana competency improvement activity in NTT Province and highly appreciated the implementation of Tagana competency improvement as an effort to help overcome disasters in NTT Province. On this occasion, the Tagana Competency Training Certificate was symbolically handed over by the Battalion 743/PSY Commander.

The 107 Tagana personnel who had participated in the competency improvement at Naibonat were then given the nickname by Battalion 743/PSY as Tagana Seroja. The reason for the nickname was because the competency improvement training was held after the Tropical Cyclone Seroja Disaster that hit a number of areas in NTT Province some time ago.
