MEDAN (November 10, 2021) - Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) conducted a Specific Working Visit with the Ministry of Social Affairs and related institutions to discuss disaster management in North Sumatra Province, Wednesday (10/11).

The visit of DPR RI Commission VIII was led by Deputy Chairperson of Commission VIII DPR RI, TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, accompanied by the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, and the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Idit Supriyatna, as representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Director of Early Warning National Board for Disaster Management, Afrial Rosa.

During the visit, the DPR handed over assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs which was received by the Regional Secretary of North Sumatra Province, Afifi Lubis, in the form of logistics for disaster management worth IDR 706 million and Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) assistance worth IDR 1.2 billion for Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
