JAKARTA (April 12nd 2020) - The Bambu Apus Protection House and Trauma Center, Jakarta carries out therapeutic activities through "Chicken Dance".

This activity aims to increase the client's body immunity so that he is always cheerful and forgets for a moment the problems the client is experiencing.

In addition to increasing the body's immunity, the benefits of "Chicken Dance" train balance, relax muscles, improve mood, improve memory, relieve stress and depression. This is because many of the clients before returning to Indonesia experienced trauma in the process of returning home.

The return process has various stories, such as complicated immigration, psychological trauma due to violence, both physical violence and psychological violence committed by the employer, agents who force migrant workers to work for inappropriate pay, and many do not receive a salary because they are exploited by the agents who dispatched him.

In addition to enhancing the client's immune system, "Chicken Dance" is included in a series of clients' psychosocial recovery while they are at RPTC Bambu Apus, where activities are guided by social workers.
